LAFC2 was defeated 2-1 by Houston Dynamo 2 on Sunday evening at SaberCats Stadium in Houston.
Dynamo 2 attacker Gabriel Segal netted goals in the 17th and 57th minutes, putting Houston ahead 2-0. LAFC2 narrowed the gap with Nick Sullivan scoring his first goal of the season in the 81st minute.
Despite being awarded a penalty in stoppage time, LAFC2 couldn't find the equalizer before the final whistle.
LAFC2 drops to 8W-6L-4D (30 points), and next takes on Real Monarchs at Titan Stadium in Fullerton, CA, on Sunday, August 4. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. PT.
