2017 MLS Expansion Draft 5th Pick: Raheem Edwards, forward from Toronto FC
- Traded to Montreal Impact in exchange for Laurent Ciman
A quick attacker out of the Toronto FC academy system, the 21-year-old Edwards was thrust into a slightly new role as a wingback a month into the 2017 MLS season, and has thrived in his brief time there, providing a serious attacking threat on the left side. He made his MLS debut in 2016 and had previously featured for TFC's first team in Canadian Championship play before becoming a regular in 2017.
INTERNATIONAL: Edwards represented the Canada Under-23 national team at the Pan-American Games and has also been called up for friendlies at that age level.
