Easily LAFC's most instrumental players in a 4-1 victory over the Portland Timbers on Sunday, Carlos Vela and Eduard Atuesta are getting their due from MLSsoccer.com as well.
On Monday, the duo was named to the MLS Team of the Week starting XI for Week 2.

Vela figured into three of LAFC's four goals, assisting on two and scoring one of his own. Atuesta, after being named to as a Team of the Week substitute last week, anchored LAFC's midfield for the full 90 minutes. The midfielder's two tackles, one interception, and 10 recoveries set the tone for LAFC. And Atuesta's pass with the outside of his boot to set Vela, which eventually led to LAFC's second goal of the match, was highlight-reel worthy.
