Just one dress rehearsal remains. LAFC faces Toronto FC on Wednesday at Banc of California Stadium in a preseason friendly.

In the final preseason match of 2020, LAFC has lined up a tough challenge. An MLS Cup finalist in three of the last four seasons, the Reds lifted MLS Cup in 2017. Toronto FC also pushed Chivas to penalty kicks in the 2018 Concacaf Champions League final.

As LAFC preps for its first foray in the CCL less than a week later, facing Toronto to finish the preseason is opportune.

Opponent Form

As he's done in previous seasons, Greg Vanney brought his TFC team out to Irvine, Calif., as part of its preseason preparations. In its first match of preseason, Toronto defeated Colorado 4-0 in a match that featured two 60-minute halves. Mainstays Jozy Altidore and Jonathan Osorio got on the scoresheet in the friendly, while homegrown winger Jacob Shaffelburg rounded out the scoring.

What To Watch For

Starting XI Preview: LAFC will face Léon less than a week after the final preseason match. You don't want to read to much into lineups in preseason but its likely a good chunk of the players starting this match will find themselves on the pitch in Léon. This match is a chance to get a bit of insight into Bob Bradley's thinking ahead of the CCL match and one last chance for a few players to showcase what they can do.

Back From South America: Bob Bradley has been without five players (Diego Rossi, Francisco Ginella, Eduard Atuesta, Eddie Segura, and José Cifuentes) taking part in the CONMEBOL Olympic Qualifying tournament that wrapped up on Sunday. Those players have made their way back to Los Angeles but will be slowly integrated into the squad. It's unlikely any of them will play significant minutes against Toronto but Bradley might want them to get a short runout with their teammates.
