CHARLOTTE FC IN-DEPTH

Led by interim head coach Christian Lattanzio, Charlotte FC have kept themselves within range of a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference in their first year in the MLS as they are currently only one point off the four-way tie for the seventh spot.

Forward and Designated Player Karol Swiderski is the team’s scoring leader with seven goals in 21 games. The team has had 13 different goal scorers this year, including Andre Shinyashiki, Benjamin Bender and Yordy Reyna, who combine for 11 of the team’s 30 goals this season.

Charlotte FC will be without Vinicius Mello (left foot surgery), Guzmán Corujo (right ACL tear), Adam Armour (left knee surgery), who scored the first-ever goal in the team’s history.

LAFC WILL WIN IF

They continue to pick up points at The Banc. Charlotte FC has only managed one road win all season while LAFC has been able to maintain the dominance of the Banc and really build their home field into a fortress. The Black & Gold will need to come out aggressive and feed the ball to their forwards, especially Cristian Arango, who has scored nine goals in the last 10 games. LAFC has also been able to utilize the always dangerous Gareth Bale off the bench, who remains an incredibly talented and dangerous attacking player.

CHARLOTTE FC CAN WIN IF

They can take advantage of any open space or angles given to them, as they love to cross balls in toward goal. Karol Swiderski and Yordy Reyna will look to make an impact on crosses as the duo has combined to score six goals in the team’s last five games.

Charlotte will most likely come out in a 4-1-4-1 formation and will certainly look to limit space for LAFC and press instantly when the ball is lost.
