LAFC forward Brian Rodríguez was named to the MLSsoccer.com 22 Under 22, presented by BodyArmor, the league announced Tuesday. The 21-year-old Uruguayan comes in at 4th on the list. The voting panel was made up by MLSsoccer.com staff, members of the MLS player department and external media. Voters were asked to rank their Top-22 players in order based on technical, tactical, physical and potential abilities.
The right-footed winger is able to ease by defenders in 1v1 situations and create chances at a high rate. His growth will be one of the stories to watch during the rest of 2021 heading into 2022. This is Rodríguez's third time on the annual list, previously ranking 2nd and 4th in 2020 and 2019, respectively.
