LAFC Hires Harald Gärtner As Managing Director Of Europe

Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) today announced the hiring of Harald Gärtner as the Club’s first Managing Director of Europe.

In his position as Managing Director of Europe, Gärtner will lead and direct LAFC’s European business strategy and interests, including the Club’s investment in FC Wacker Innsbruck of Austria.

“We are excited to add a knowledgeable football mind like Harald to our Club,” LAFC Co-President & CBO Larry Freedman said. “He has been a key figure in building our partnership with FC Wacker, and his ability and expertise will be an invaluable resource as we continue to build our global network.”

Gärtner is an experienced European football executive and manager who has enjoyed success both in Germany and Austria with FC Ingolstadt and Austria Klagenfurt. 

“This job is very appealing to me,” Gärtner said. “Working as LAFC’s Managing Director of Europe will allow me to help this Club achieve our ambitious goals with Wacker Innsbruck and beyond.”
