LAFC To Host Mexican National Team On 2017 U.S. Tour Stop In Los Angeles

LAFC To Host Mexican National Team

Mexico V Croatia

Mexico’s “El Tricolor” will take on the Croatian National Team on Saturday, May 27

Today LAFC has announced that the Mexican national team is coming to Los Angeles. Organized by the Federacion Mexicana de Futbol (FMF) and Soccer United Marketing (SUM), Mexico’s “El Tricolor” will take on the Croatian national team on Saturday, May 27, at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. The match will be the first of many major tours hosted by LAFC.

As one of the latest additions to the annual U.S. Tour, this match in Los Angeles will serve as preparation for World Cup qualifiers and the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup. Earlier this month, El Tricolor kicked off the 15th annual landmark tour with a 1-0 win against Iceland in front of a record-breaking audience for soccer in Las Vegas.

“We are incredibly excited to be selected as the host Club for this match,” said Club President and Owner Tom Penn. “Hosting both Mexico and Croatia at Exposition Park, adjacent to our stadium site in the heart of LA, is a great opportunity to witness some of the best players in the world play in our city as we ramp up to LAFC’s 2018 inaugural season.”

For an exclusive pre-sale opportunity, LAFC Members can purchase tickets to the Mexico v. Croatia match on Wednesday, March 1 at 10:00 a.m. PT, including the opportunity to sit in a designated LAFC section.
