LAFC & Las Vegas Lights Announce 2022 Player Loan Agreements

LAFC today announced the loan agreements of several players to the Las Vegas Lights FC, the Club’s USL affiliate in the USL Championship. The Lights will also sign three LAFC Academy players to USL Academy Contracts.

LAFC defenders Erik Dueñas and Mohamed Traore will join the Lights on loan for the entire 2022 season, and the following six players will be eligible for loan throughout 2022: Cal Jennings, Danny Musovski, Christian Torres, Julian Gaines, Antonio Leone, and Tomas Romero. All eight players saw action with the Lights in 2021.

LAFC Academy products Christopher Jaime, Armando Avila and Dylan Presto will sign USL Academy contracts, which allow the players to retain their NCAA eligibility while being registered to compete in USL Championship matches with the Lights. All three played for Las Vegas in 2021.

Jennings led Las Vegas with 11 goals and four assists in 20 appearances in 2021, while also playing in six games with LAFC. Las Vegas native Musovski scored five goals and registered two assists in 12 games with the Lights last season, while also scoring four goals and totaling three assists in 22 MLS games with LAFC. Romero led LAFC with 18 games started in goal last season, and also made five appearances for the Lights in 2021.
