LAFC forward Carlos Vela has been named in Juan Carlos Osorio's 28-man Mexican National Team squad for upcoming friendlies with Iceland and Croatia.
Vela joins the likes of Hirving "Chucky" Lozano of PSV Eindhoven and Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez of West Ham in the team.

With one goal and two assists to start the MLS season, Vela has helped guide LAFC to a perfect start in two road matches, only the second expansion team to do so in MLS history.
Mexico will face Iceland on March 23 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, before traveling to Arlington for a friendly with Croatia at AT&T Stadium on March 27. Both matches will serve as tune-ups before Osorio finalizes his 23-man roster for the 2018 World Cup.
