Walker Goal Against Bolivia 2018 IMG

Young attackers were all the rage in the US Men's National Team friendly against Bolivia. So of course, LAFC center back Walker Zimmerman opened the scoring in the team's 3-0 win.

In his third appearance for the USMNT, Zimmerman rose to meet a Joe Corona corner in the 37th minute. The resulting header sailed into the top corner of the Bolivia net, giving the US a lead the would not relinquish on the night.

In addition to scoring his first international goal and playing the full 90 minutes, Zimmerman also donned the captain's armband after fullback Eric Lichaj was substituted in the match's 74th minute.

Josh Sargent and Tim Weah followed up Zimmerman's effort with debut goals of their own, as the USMNT cruised to a comfortable 3-0.

It's the second win of 2018 for the USMNT as they prepare to regroup after failing to qualify for the 2018 World Cup. The team now travels to Dublin to face Ireland in a friendly on June 2.
