LAFC today unveiled the Club’s new Heart of Gold Community Kit for the 2021-22 season. Authentic and Replica kits are now available to purchase online at lafcmobileshop.com, fanatics.com and the MLS Store Online.
The LAFC community is the heart of the Club, and those in Los Angeles who give back, provide care for others and are essential workers are the gold. This uniform is for them. As the kits were unveiled, the new jerseys were gifted to essential workers throughout L.A. including teachers, emergency personnel from Los Angeles Fire Department Station 15, medical personnel from Kaiser Permanente Baldwin Park Medical Center and Downey Medical Center, farm workers from Monte Vista Farms, and others.
The Heart of Gold Community Kit features a soft gold hue, representative of the community’s resilience, conductivity, radiant warmth and its shine. This latest edition features new kit sponsor FLEX Power Tools prominently in the middle and is adorned with Golden Boot Partner Target on the right sleeve. A further nod to Los Angeles can be found on the cuff of each sleeve, written out in gold lettering so the city is always in full view.
In keeping consistent with the kits that came before it, the black neck tape inside reads: Shoulder to Shoulder, a rally cry to unite supporters and a reference to building the Club together though community and city partners. Embossed below the neckline reads: Heart of Los Angeles, another embodiment of the Club’s community.
2021 Heart Of Gold Community Kit
This year, the club plans on celebrating the members of the LAFC community going above and beyond the call of duty by dedicating this jersey to them and amplifying their contributions. LAFC worked with Club partner Kaiser Permanente to identify nurses, vaccine administrators and other medical personnel to be presented with the Heart of Gold jersey as an appreciation for their service. LAFC partner Melissa’s Produce helped the Club identify local farmers to be honored with the jersey.
